this whole week's been really boring- helmsman wasn't much and to think that i was quite excited for it -.-
tuesday 9th jan 'o7we had workshops and lectures all day about i&e.
it was rather boring and we didn't do anything at all.
we even had imagineering briefing after the helmsman programme at the LT.
imagineering is some sort of project? its like project work and our topic is on a problem in vj.
we got our helmsman group group already-
im working with amanda, shiyao, bob and ranon
wednesday 10th jan 'o7we went to the national musuem! it was so unfair!
other groups went new majestic hotel and jean yip and we were stuck going to the museum -.-
but the new national museum is really high tech
the have tickets which you slide through the barrier to go into an exhibit and stuff.
and in the singapore history gallery, we even had a digital companion with us!
a digital companion is a screen with ear phones-
someone gives a commentary on the particular exhibit you're looking at when you press the number given on the floor.
its really high tech lol- but the museum was freaky can.
the ww II exhibit was all red and really dark, and we lost the other groups. then suddenly, someone started singing. a female- it totally freaked me and amanda out can.
and the guys were still like- oh what flag is this? hmm austria? -.-
the musuem is rather nice- but i dont think i want to go back there anymore- it'll just freak me out! we went back to school and presented what we did before going home/
thursday 11th jan 'o7we went to alexandra hospital this time- it was quite interesting la.
when the doctor started talking about
triage, i could understand!
HA that means that i didn't sleep thru sj lessons okay! (:
the CEO of AH came to gave us a talk and they provided us with really nice sandwiches!
we didn't really do much after AH-
we learned about metaphors and we did groupwork.
we were supposed to draw an animal to represent a metaphor and ours was all cartoonish!
and bob was the funniest- he drew a really nice horse, but he drew the eyes as one slit,
giving the horse a very ~duh look, just like how he looks! lol everyone was laughing can.
i had my audition after that and we went to bedok interchange to shop for the food experiment
and we were caught in the rain while going to my house-
it was super funny because ranon was sharing an umbrella with bob and when we reached my house, not a single part of ranon was dry!
we did the presentation and prepared the food before calling it a day.
friday 12th jan'o7we had our presentation! my group did frishie rolls-
which is fried rice wrapped in seaweed to become sushi.
we did ours on mahjong paper while the rest prepared skits and ppt slides,
so we were feeling super mal.
ms chua liked our frishie rolls!
and the most surprising was that my group was chosen to represent our class in the competition with the other three classes! O.O
v11 did a video, v12 did ppt, v13 did video and we had mahjong paper -.-
we felt like puking while watching the other class present can!
ours was so crap compared to theirs-
we were really malu while presenting,
but surprisingly, we got second! O.O big but pleasant shock there!
then after that me, yijun and yingsi cabbed to DHS!! :DDDD
the cab fare was $13.50- really expensive and the uncle already gave us discount!
we saw alot of friends and 2A people!
and i saw the sj people too! :D
everyone was petting my head and ruffling my hair! made me feel so embarassed lol!
and a SOON TZU HSIANG attacked me can!
it was really great seeing everyone-
seeing all of them today made me realise how much i miss them!
we went to see the classrooms and the school is really big!
im kinda glad for vj's small but cosy campus lol
the sj people went for maintenance day and couldn't keep me company ):
and they tried to drag me along to do with them but i was like no way! haha
i wanted to stay around and wait for them to finish sj so that i can go for squad dinner with them, but in the end it was so boring waiting for them, so i left ):
me, cuiting, yingsi and yijun went to bugis to eat and
we sat there and talked for awhile before heading home
because our socks and shoes were all wet and squishy and uncomfortable! ):
daddy picked me up at the mrt station so i didn't need to trod home in the rain (:
im super happy today! haha (:
oh and our imagineering groups changed- we were supposed to remain in our helmsman groups for imagineering but we got switched around. so now my new group is:
me, rachna, chenxi, ranon and jingrong-
end of helmsman week now- next week bridging curriculum starts which is almost like normal lessons! :/
