i just came back from vbc '05. another camp again rite? hahaa (: this time im helping out, not one of the campers....so fun!!!! (:
we helped out in the junior vbc (kindergarten n p1) and they were soooooooo cute!!!!!! (: fell in love with them man! (: ok lar...shall launch into another detailed explanation of the camp...

senior (p2-p6) vbc started that day and i was alone in the house cuz my dad was at work and my mum and brother were helping out in the senior vbc camp. so i packed, did this, did that, and went to yvettes house via my dad to stayover. she has a new cat ya noe...the name is miaow miaow.. and you know what it did?? i was down to my last chicken wing and watching tong xin yuan when she just put her paws up on the sofa and sniffed at my chicken wing. *bawls* my poor chicken wing....yvette says its cuz im not fierce to her. then we went up...helped yvette pack and WRAP her school books (so mean rite???) and then slept...but we talked quite abit too.

junior vbc started today and my group is ABLE. woke up at abt 7 plus had breakfast then went to church for registration. all the kids are sooooooooo cute!!! but pity mine was k2 and p1. easier to control but not as cute as nursery and k1....since im the helper, im the official 'toilet jiejie' and the toilets like my second home.(all the others also suffered the same fate!!) we brought them up for worship and lesson on the parable of the sower, then to the room for worksheets and crafts. we controlled them by bribing them with stickers...mwahahahahahaha (:
then brought them down to lunch. followed by worship again, concert preparation(my grp and kenneths grp are doing parable of the good samaritan), movie (veggie tales!!! *grin*) then games.since there are only 12 kids in my grp and the games require 13, i had to play the games too...(like all the other poor helpers and teachers..ahahahahaha) i played all three games and ran up and down with each kid to help them for EVERY game...i think you can tell how tired i was man....then worship and finally dismissal of the campers. the junior ones go home at 5.30 but the senior ones stay overnight. me,yvette,limying,cheryl and dawn are staying over nite in ROL.
i went to yvettes house to bathe and eat nuggets and fries(soooo nice!!!) and we went back to church. aunt mabel said that we have to do watever the senior camp is doing, so we went for the p6 workshop. but we went out halfway to practise a skit for aunt susan. then lights out. (but we did talk again) i couldnt get to sleep and then me and yvettes stupid KOR smsed her at 12 and woke both us up!!!(actually only yvette cuz i still couldbnt sleep and was on the VERGE of sleeping) and the sms was like totally nonsense. i got to sleep at round 1 plus liddat i think. maybe even 2 plus....

ok. woke up did devotion ( iwas coleading!! ahahahaha) then went down to eat breakfast. so unfair!! they were like: sorry. we dun provide breakfast for pre-primary helpers. so idiotic rite??!!! and we stayed over nite. then aunt janice heard about it and help us get chee kueh!! (: then aunt jaw heard it also and got as another plate, so we had 2 plates for 5 people! (:
then the kids started coming...usual...worship, lesson on parable of the prodigal son, worksheet and craft, followed by lunch.the youths(us) had to eat quickly cuz we were meeting aunt susan for the skit. i was the good samaritan at first, but i didnt want,so i became the robber..mwaahahahah...then we had gospel sharing followed by concert practice, then movie, games(i participated in all as usual, except for the last one because one boy didnt want to play, so i took care of him) then they went home.
i went to yvettes house to bathe, eat nuggets(nice!!! (: ) then went back and as that was the last nite for senior vbc, they had the parents nite(concert) i loved the worship... (: then we went to help dress up the p4s for the skit. the p2 to p3 did creation, p4 did the fall of man(adam and eve) and p5 anad p6 did the love lifted high song. i enjoyed the concert...then we had barbecue, but we skipped that cuz we were upstairs playing truth or dare. (me, limying,yvette and yan) we did some really hilarious dares but for the sake of those who did them, i shall not put them down and embarass them further.
then yan had to go home and me,limying and yvette went down to a room to gossip. then we went up and gossiped further with esther,cheryl and dawn until we were being too noisy (lightsout already) so we went down to the room again to gossip and play truth or dare. then the boys came. daniel, jotham and ryan.so we played truth or dare with them and it was hilarious. then my bro and elisa came in and tortured ryan by making him spell out :jayjay the jet plane rocks! for his dare...aaah, it was SOOOOO funny (: then they went down and me limying talked about one of my favourite subjects. ANIME!!! (: and yvette was playing with my hp. then joanna,ruben,bryan.daniel,my bro,elisa,cynthia, roy, jotham and ryan came in to tell us that aunt dot was patrolling the hallways to catch ppl that werent sleeping.so we sneaked up into our dorms and slept. so sad...we cant stay up the whole nite like jyc....

the senior vbc ppl were going back at 1 cuz their camp start one day earlier, but for the junior camp, we still had to stay till 5.30. so we woke up, practiced the skit of the good samaritan with aunt susan, had breakfast, packed and brought the children up for worship and the parable of the good samaritan. so we acted out the skit and all of us were like sooo scared....but the kids loved the skit and my kids when they saw me, they were like: aaah!!! robber!! dont steal our teachers money ar!!! -_-""
i took it all in stride, then they went for worksheet, craft, lunch (we had mchicken sandwhich!!!), worship, concert practice and dressed them in the camp tshirt. then it was time for the concert. the kids did wonderfully and my group got lots of rewards and presents from us and the camp :) i think my group is great. theyre sooo enthu, and they have really good sportsmanship. im soooo proud of them!! (:
then they went home and we had a camp evaluation before going home. i had chicken pie and a hot dog sandwhich for dinner and i bathed and promptly fell asleep at 9 and woke up the next day at 11.30. i was THAT exhausted. partly cuz i din sleep well and slept late the nite before and partly because of the KIDS. theyre a HANDFUL man...
i missed church cuz no one woke me up...sigh....but then again, if i went, i'll prob be half-asleep lar...im soooooo sorry jie...pangseh u cuz never go to church..sorry, sorry sorry!!!!! :(
